Christine Weaver

THE CELEBRATED LIFE Christine Williams Weaver, fourth child of Elisha and Odessa Kennebrew Williams was born November 22, 1941 in Ellerslie, Georgia. Christine (fondly called “Chris”) grew up in Cataula, Georgia where she began elementary school. She later attended Carver High School, Hamilton, GA. and graduated with the Class of 1961. Christine accepted Christ at an early age and joined Longstreet Baptist Church where she remained a lifelong church member until she could no longer regularly attend. Christine was married to Nathan Weaver of Hamilton, GA. where they lived and raised three children. Chris was employed with the state of GA for many years serving as a Work Activity Instructor teaching disabled adults to become more independent and increase their vocational success. She retired after 30 years of dedicated service in 2003. After retirement Chris remained a selfless mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and an always dutiful daughter to her parents until their passing. Christine enjoyed traveling, home decorating and her ever fashionable attire, but mostly she enjoyed family fun time at the home house on the “front porch". On Sunday, April 27th, 2025, while surrounded by her family, Christine made her transition to eternal rest. She was preceded in death by former spouse, Nathan Weaver, along with her parents, Odessa and Elisha Williams, and brothers Johnnie Fortson, Walter Lee Williams and Curtis Williams. Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 children: Angeleta (Rick) Guerrero, Columbus, GA., Reginald J. Weaver, Douglasville, GA and Damion M. (Shameka) Weaver, Fairburn, GA. Three Grandchildren: Jasmine (Allen) Pruitt, Douglasville, GA., Kristin L. Guerrero and Paul B. Guerrero, Columbus, GA. and our Great-Grandchildren: Adam, Kierstyn, Ava and Chance. Two sisters: Dorothy (Lloyd) Brown, Cataula, GA and Laura (Arnold) Jackson, Cataula, GA. Two brothers: James (Vikki) WIlliams and Robert (Beverly) Williams, Tyrone, GA. and a Sister-In-Law, Dora (Johnnie) Fortson, Columbus, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you're loved beyond words and missed beyond measure".
